Breakfast then to Ashridge forest

On the 6th Jan 08 we all met for a post-Christmas breakfast at the Rose and Crown in Tring. We had a great turn out with 31 members arriving between 9.30 and 10.00. It was good to see some of the London region members - thanks for joining us.

Everybody spent the next couple of hours chatting and eating! The hotel had said that we could stay for as long as we wanted but time was getting on. So off we drove in convoy to Ashridge Forest to walk off our breakfast.

It was such a lovely day that the whole world seemed to be doing the same as us! Parking was a little tight but we all managed to find a space in the end. Then for the next hour or so we walked, strolled,hiked,rambled or sat under a tree until the little coffee kiosk called. More eating, drinking and chatting followed and then we slowly wended our way home.

As you can see we had a photo taken in the hotel grounds and Graham Swallow (never to be out done) suddenly produced the Jaguar flag. Jeff obviously enjoyed himself on the day (too much orange juice?)
